Chily Registry Cleaner

Errors, crashes, your computer freezing, and the dreaded BSoD, they can all be attributed to problems with the Windows Registry. If you want your computer to run smoothly, you must perform certain maintenance tasks. You must uninstall the applications you no longer need, remove junk files that are needlessly taking up space, defragment your drives, and scan for and address Windows Registry problems. You can do the last part with the Chily Softech-developed application Chily Register Cleaner.

The Chily Register Cleaner installation file is of only 1.6MB; even on a lousy internet connection it will take little time for the download to complete. A standard setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. You will be asked where you want the application to be installed and whether you want a desktop icon or not.

There is nothing complicated about Chily Register Cleaner’s interface (some may even say that it is a bit too simple). To the left hand side you have the main features and functions: Clean Registry, Defrag Registry, Backup Registry. On top of that there’s a welcome screen that presents the same features and functions.

To scan for and address Registry issues you must select the Clean Registry function, then start a Registry scan. The duration of the scan depends on your hardware configuration and how many problems there are with the Windows Registry. Once the scan completes, you will be presented with a list of problems found by Chily Register Cleaner. A licensed version of the application will then address these problems – the trial version will not. The trial will scan for and uncover problems with the Windows Registry, but it will not resolve them.

The Defrag Registry functionality will defragment your Windows Registry with the aim of enhancing system performance. The Backup and Restore Registry functionality is there in case something is to go wrong. There’s always the possibility that something could go wrong, so it pays to backup the Registry. Thus you have a backup you can use to restore the Registry and make things better again.

Chily Registry Cleaner does just what it says: it quickly scans your Registry for problems and addresses them. It also defrags your Registry to enhance system performance.
